The Central Highlands of Sri Lanka is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consisting of the Peak Wilderness Protected Area, Knuckles Conservation Forest, and Horton Plains National Park. These are all protected rainforests of significant global importance, hosting numerous endemic species of fauna and flora. This region is located approximately 8,000 feet above sea level.
The ideal time to visit is from December to April.
