Knuckles Conservation Forest

The Knuckles Mountain Range is located in the Kandy and Matale districts. Known as a trekker's paradise, Knuckles Conservation offers several trails through the forest. It hosts a variety of plants and animals unique to the area, featuring grasslands, cloud forests, and a small waterfall.


This mountain range is also a World Heritage site with notable environmental significance. It earned its name due to its resemblance to the knuckles of a clenched fist.


From January to March, the weather can be much colder.
