Day 1: Negombo Upon arrival at the airport, a guide/driver will welcome and pick you up. You will be transferred to a guesthouse or beach hotel of your choice in Negombo via an air-conditioned vehicle. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Overnight stay in Negombo.

Day 2: Sigiriya – Traditional village visit After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Sigiriya to visit the rock fortress, a captivating UNESCO World Heritage site in Sri Lanka. Climbing to the summit of this former hilltop fortress of the Sinhalese king, Kassapa, offers breathtaking views that never fail to impress. In the afternoon, visit a traditional village in Habarana. This experience allows you to immerse yourself in the authentic rural lifestyle of Sri Lanka, traveling by bullock cart to a local village. Day 3: Dambulla – Kandy After breakfast, travel to Kandy, another intriguing city in Sri Lanka. On the way, visit the Dambulla cave temple, home to over 150 Buddha statues. This site was where a 1st Century B.C. king sought refuge and later transformed into a monastery. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth, the most significant temple for Sri Lankan Buddhists, built in the 16th Century to house the tooth relic. Day 4: Pinnawala – Peradeniya – Kandy city tour After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary for elephants of various ages and sizes where they feed, bathe, and interact. These elephants have been rescued from the wild and are now bred in captivity. Then, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, originally a pleasure garden for a 16th Century Kandyan king, later transformed into a botanical garden during the British era. This garden, one of the finest in Asia, is a haven for beauty and bird watching. In the evening, enjoy a city tour of Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya After breakfast, journey deeper into the tea-growing hills, optionally winding through mountains with stunning views. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, visit Ramboda Waterfall and a renowned Sri Lankan tea factory. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, welcomed by its crisp, cool climate, cottage-style bungalows, and colonial charm. Known as “Little England,” Nuwara Eliya offers a unique atmosphere. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Horton’s Plains – Ella Early in the morning, explore Horton’s Plains National Park, known for excellent hikes through unique environments featuring forest patches, grasslands, and high-altitude vegetation. Highlights include the dramatic 880-meter drop at World’s End and the picturesque Baker’s Falls. In the afternoon, travel to Ella for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Yala National Park After breakfast, travel to Yala. On the way, visit the renowned Ella Gap and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Sri Lankan highlands. In the afternoon, explore Yala National Park, a premier eco-tourism destination where you can observe leopards, elephants, and unique bird species up close. Overnight stay in Yala.

Day 8: Galle – Beach stays Travel to a beach resort for your beach holiday. On the way, visit Galle Fort, initially built in 1588 by the Portuguese and extensively fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century. Then, visit a turtle hatchery on the southern coast, dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles for future generations. In the afternoon, relax at your beach resort. Day 9: Beach Enjoy your beach stay with numerous options for leisure. Stroll along the golden beaches, soak in the magical atmosphere, relax on a sun deck with a book, and sip a refreshing tropical fruit drink made from pineapple, mango, or banana. Engage in activities like water skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, jet skiing, or whale watching trips, if you wish (not included in the package price).
