Day 1: Negombo – Nuwara Eliya Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by representatives from "Visit SL Travels." Depart Colombo in the morning, traveling through bustling highways into the island's highlands. En route, you will encounter waterfalls, tea plantations, tea factories, and vegetable farms. The landscape surrounding Nuwara Eliya rises from 3,000 feet to over 8,000 feet, making it the highest hill country in Sri Lanka. Many visitors consider it the most picturesque part of the country, featuring misty tea plantations, lush green hills, cascading waterfalls, and colonial-style architecture. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 2: Pinnawala – Kandy After breakfast, depart for Pinnawala. Here, you will visit the elephant orphanage, home to about eighty elephants rescued from across the country. You'll witness baby elephants being fed milk and their daily bath in a nearby river. Later, proceed to the historic royal city of Kandy, beautifully situated among green hills. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka's most sacred shrine, where the revered tooth relic of Lord Buddha is housed. In the evening, enjoy a dance performance featuring the renowned Kandyan dances, as well as up-country and devil dances. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3: Dambulla – Sigiriya After breakfast, leave Kandy and head north. As you travel, you'll pass paddy fields, coconut groves, and rubber and spice gardens. Stop at a spice garden to observe various spice plants and bushes. Then, ascend to visit the Dambulla cave temple, a complex of five caverns filled with numerous statues of Buddha and Hindu deities. In the afternoon, embark on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, featuring a mix of evergreen forest and scrub areas. The park's central highlight is the Minneriya tank, where you can observe a large number of elephants, as well as other wildlife and flocks of birds. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 4: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa After breakfast, visit Sigiriya Rock, an impressive monolith rising 200 meters from the jungle, transformed into a fortress by King Kashyapa in the 5th century. Here, you will see the frescoes of the Sigiriya Maidens. In the afternoon, drive to Polonnaruwa to explore the well-preserved remains of the city, which served as Sri Lanka's capital from the 11th to the 13th century. Discover the excavations, including temples, dagobas, the royal palace, and the royal library. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 5: Anuradhapura After breakfast, depart for Anuradhapura to explore Sri Lanka's ancient first capital. You'll visit some of the country's most famous and tallest dagobas, along with remnants of palaces, temples, monasteries, ceremonial baths, and the temple of the sacred Bo-tree. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 6, 7, 8 & 9: Ayurveda Resort – Maho Spend four days at the Ayurveda resort in Maho, receiving relaxing Ayurvedic treatments from qualified doctors and therapists. During your stay, enjoy three vegetarian meals and herbal snacks daily.
Day 10: Beach – Airport After breakfast, depart for the airport, Negombo, or Colombo.
